Engineers for a Sustainable Future is a not-for-profit organisation working to embed sustainability into engineering, based in the Hague, the Netherlands. It was founded in 2008. The aim of the society is to bring together thought-leaders and practitioners of engineering, sustainable development, and social responsibility. The membership consists of students and a variety of professionals with experience in industry, academia, and the public sector.
The mission of the society is to transform the mindset of engineering, taking it beyond technical excellence. That is, to integrate social, environmental and human health considerations as a driving element of engineering practice.
