Scope

Does the option affect family life or the legal, economic or social protection of the family?[1]

Definition

Family life can be affected in many ways, by economic and social factors, but also by religious beliefs or environmental conditions. Income distribution, working hours, child care, education system, urbanisation, migration, access to welfare and services of general interest, industry restructuring are some of the policy related variables that may be regarded in the evaluation of a policy option and its impact on family life.[1]
