The aim of FoodRisk.org is to assist professionals involved with the many aspects of risk analysis as it pertains to the safety of food. FoodRisk.org provides data, tutorials, tools, and links to numerous sources of information. In addition to providing resources for the food safety risk analysis professional, it also provides several consumer-oriented links.
FoodRisk.org is the responsibility of the Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (JIFSAN), a collaboration between the University of Maryland (UM) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). A steering committee, comprised of five members from JIFSAN and the FDA, oversees the development and operation of the Clearinghouse.
