How to upload probabilistic data?

How to read discussions

Fact discussion: .
Opening statement: There are several alternative statements, (A) being the primary statement:
  • A) Data table format should not be used to upload probabilistic data.
  • B) Observation index should be used as the index for the random sample (i.e. Run in Analytica), and each observation column is one draw from the probability distribution. Each row is one cell.
  • C) A cell is defined as a unique set of values in the explanation columns. All rows sharing this unique set belong to the same cell, the obs column numbered sequentially from top to bottom within the rows belonging to the same cell.

Closing statement: Data table should not be used to upload probabilistic data.

(Resolved, i.e., a closing statement has been found and updated to the main page.)

Argumentation:
←--#: . We don't know yet which of these functionalities are actually needed. Therefore, let's start from the simplest one (A) and work with that until we have experience. --Jouni 06:48, 20 September 2010 (UTC) (type: truth; paradigms: science: defence)
